Meet Valkyrie: The Newest Addition to Our Breeding Family

In the heart of our breeding haven, a radiant star has graced us with her presence – Valkyrie, affectionately known as Val. Hailing all the way from California, Val brings with her a lineage of distinction and promise. Her mother, Brienwoods Mother of Dragons, and her father, the esteemed Russian import Zhemchuzhina Sibiri Hugh Grant, lay the foundation for a legacy of excellence.

A Memorable Arrival and Instant Bonding

Valkyrie arrived in the third week of March 2024, accompanied by a flight nanny. Though initially a bit disoriented, she wasted no time in capturing our hearts with her endearing charm. Within moments, a bond began to form, and it was clear that Val had found her place among us.

In just a week, Valkyrie seamlessly integrated into our household, warming up to the other dogs with ease. Her gentle demeanor and playful spirit quickly endeared her to both humans and canines alike, solidifying her status as a beloved member of our breeding family.

A Stellar Debut: Valkyrie Shines at Her First Show

The third weekend in April marked a momentous occasion as Valkyrie made her debut at her first show. To our delight and astonishment, she exceeded all expectations, leaving an indelible impression on both spectators and judges alike. Renowned judge Stanley Matsumoto was particularly impressed, commending Val as a “wonderful puppy” with immense potential.

With grace and poise, Valkyrie soared to victory, winning her class and earning the title of Best Female in three out of four shows. Her impeccable structure, elegant movement, and undeniable charisma captivated audiences, solidifying her status as a rising star in the world of standard poodles.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future for Valkyrie

As Valkyrie’s journey unfolds, we eagerly anticipate the countless adventures, triumphs, and memories that await her. With each step, she reaffirms our commitment to excellence and our dedication to preserving the legacy of the standard poodle breed.

Valkyrie earned her Champion Title in May 2024 with limited showing. We will continue with her show career while we explore some sports as well this summer.

Valkyrie is clear by DNA of over 225 genetic diseases. We will proceed with her OFA testing as she reaches maturity.
