Forest Lakes Marvel-ous Secret Identity

Introducing Gwen, a remarkable little lady who embodies the legacy of excellence within our breeding program. Gwen is the daughter of Porsche and Rhett, both of whom have left their pawprints in the world of conformation and sports.   

Gwen is more than just a beautiful poodle; she is a second generation bred-by dog, a testament to our dedication as preservationists. She carries the legacies of her ancestors including her uncle, the esteemed AKC Champion / UKC Sapphire Grand Champion and National Best of Breed, Romeo, as well as her grandfather who not only holds the title of Master Agility Champion but also Preferred Agility Champion 2!!!!

Gwen has completely won me over with her intelligence, unwavering confidence, and affectionate nature. She’s a little heart-stealer who communicates so much through her expressive eyes. Trust me, she can be quite demanding when she wants something!

Gwen earned her Champion Title in May 2024 at 10 months old with limited showing. I am so glad I decided I couldn’t let her go!

After she turned a year old, we decided to try FastCAT. Gwen wasn’t too keen on running the full 100 yards during her first attempt. She kept returning to the release gate, and I wasn’t sure she’d finish at all. Eventually, we managed to coax her over the finish line, though it wasn’t a qualifying run. On her second try, she only hesitated briefly before running to me and qualifying, even earning the turtle award for being the slowest poodle that weekend. But when we returned two days later, Gwen showed us what she’s capable of! Her times will improve, but I’m proud to say she was in the 11- and 12-second ranges for her two Sunday runs.

We are looking toward the future and more accomplishments with this little brains and beauty!
