Piper joined us at 2 months from her wonderful breeder Patty at Jazzy’s Standard Poodles in Missouri. I fell in love with her gorgeous brindle parti colors as a pup. Regardless of her physical beauty, everyone loves Piper! She is the happiest dog we’ve ever known and she lives to please. She is very responsive to human interaction and loves to be praised as much as she loves physical contact.
Piper earned her Canine Good Citizen title early, then her Trick Dog Novice. She became a certified therapy dog at 1 year old and in fall 2020 she earned her Rally Obedience Novice title. But where Piper really excels is Agility! She has enthusiasm and passion for this sport! I can call out the next obstacle (or two) while she is still in the previous one, and she gets it right every time. And she is fast – like I cannot keep up with her fast! In fact, her first weekend running Precision Coursing, she had the second fastest time!
Even though conformation is the polar opposite of agility, I had to try her in the ring. She never disappoints! Amanda took her in the show ring during her first show and she started to learn the process. My friend and show partner, Kasey, took her in the ring at UKC Premier Nationals in June 2021 and she really showed well. We finished her championship in August 2021. She then went on to earn her Trick Dog Intermediate title, OUTSTANDING Socialized Pet Obedience Test title, and her Versatility Excellent title.
Piper is an excellent mother and makes wonderful puppies who are intelligent, outgoing, friendly, and happy just like their momma. She has produced multiple service dogs (in training) who have started earning titles as early as 14 weeks old!!!
